Wat later opgestaan op deze grijze ochtend. Het is de 1e zondag in het nieuwe jaar en het begint zoals ik altijd doe op een zondag! Lekker rustig aan, en mijn spullen liggen al klaar om mee te werken. Oh nou oke! de parfum voor deze gelegenheid toegevoegd en omdat ik het oh zo lief vind van mijn vriend dat hij dit voor mij gekocht heeft voor mijn verjaardag in december. Dit krijg ik niet elk jaar hoor! dat hoeft ook niet, want zo blijft het bijzonder.

Op de laatste zaterdagochtend van het jaar. Buiten is het mistig en koud, maar binnen is het wollig en warm!

De Kleur | Okergeel & Roze

Ook al heb ik geen kinderen, ik vind het zo leuk om accessoires voor ze te maken! Ik speel altijd met de gedachte, wat ik voor mezelf leuk vind is net zo, of misschien nog wel veel leuker voor de kleintjes! zoals dit setje. Roze ieniemienie babyslofjes (0-3 mnd) en mutsje in okergeel gebreid van een heel zachte wol. Het mutsje is afgewerkt met drie pompommetjes in heel licht roze. Leuk te geven als kraamcadeau en binnenkort op mijn pagina Prullen & Krullen, via de website Met de Hand.

Weven

Naast het naaien, breien, pompomslingers, sieraden maken (op een laag pitje) ben ik 2 jaar geleden begonnen met weven. Bij Tiger DK zag ik een weefraam liggen en dacht ach, dit is wel leuk om te doen. Aangezien ik nogal snel wordt afgeleid en in mijn hoofd veel creatieve ideeen ontstaan heb ik het laten liggen. Zo'n twee weken geleden heb ik het weer opgepakt en dit is mijn derde resultaat. Het is te koop, en ik maak ze om op te hangen in een kinderkamer. Maar dit exemplaar is denk ik ook wel decoratief voor in de huiskamer of elders in het huis. Het is te vinden, met nog andere handgemaakte werkjes van mij via deze site Met de Hand.

                                               Hello,  I'm Still Here

Although It's not as often as before. In case you wander...it's all about for an upcoming market on May the 22 and I'm sewing as fast as I can when I'm at home. This all next to my day job  and the daily routines. Amongst lavender sachets and cotton bags, I'm so busy with a little collection, decorations for a kids room. Love love to do this, I get lost in this girly fantasy. So my blog will be on hold for a few more weeks.

De laatste tijd ben ik bezig met tasjes te maken voor de kleine dame en ik vind het ontzettend leuk om hiermee bezig te zijn. Dit is mijn laatste creatie. Een mintgroene rugzakje. Ik bewerkte de stof met een applicatie van gouden balletschoentjes. Wellicht is het een lief tasje voor de kleine ballerina in spe!

Lately I've been busy with making bags for the little lady and I'm enjoying it so much. This is my latest creation. A mint green rucksack with an application of golden ballet shoes. I believe this is a lovely bag for the little ballerina to be!

                                               It's So Warm Outside

We wonen op de 9e verdieping en met de temperaturen van de laatste paar dagen en die vreselijke brandende zon, is het op z'n zachts gezegd niet meer leuk. Vandaag op mijn vrije dag ben ik maar thuis gebleven, ik vind het te warm om iets leuks buitenshuis te doen. De zomerbloemen zijn bijna vergaan, maar goed genoeg om een paar ervan te fotograferen. Daarnaast is het weer tijd om een nieuwe item te plaatsen in mijn shop.

Living on the 9th floor and with temperatures above the 35 degrees in the last 3 days, with a burning sun, I can say it's not fun at all. Staying inside is the best thing to do, so playing with some left overs and a new listing for the shop.

                                Officially, It's The First Day Of Summer

Oh jee de eerste dag van de Zomer van 2015 is begonnen met een donkere lucht en ja hoor...het regende pijpestelen!!! maar het wordt beter als ik nu naar buiten kijk. De nieuwe Vogue heb ik gisteren ontvangen en het is weer de moeite waard om het door te lezen op deze zondag. De pioenrozen prachtig in bloei en een van de zomerarmbanden die ik misschien wil toevoegen in mijn Etsy shop. Vanochtend heb ik de laatste hand gelegd aan deze clutch en het resultaat...een hip accessoire voor deze zomer. De katoenen schoudertas maakte ik een paar dagen geleden al. Het weekend was weer productief!

And it started with heavy showers and dark skies but when I look outside while writing this post it seems it's getting better now. In my mailbox the new dutch Vogue, as usual a good read for a Sunday. The peonies are blooming and my summer bracelets, maybe I will add this in my Etsy shop. This morning I finished the clutch for happy summer days! next to a summer cotton bag which I made a few days ago. Again, the weekend was highly productive!

                                                    ~Some Favourites~

…maybe it's the lack of inspiration/ideas in the last couple of weeks or maybe I have to say "on most blogs, the re-blogs of posts, oh no not again" (yes, including myself! I'm doing this too) or my priority is focus on other things. A combination of this is what keeps me from posting lately. Anyway, what's left at this moment and me in a state of a blog weariness, are simply enough my own images (and maybe you think, well Audrey, haven't I seen this before!! lol). That's okay, but I  hardly can't resist the view of a single flower or a fresh bouquet. Roses, tulips, no matter what and hopefully next time some lilacs. I love these daily pleasures in a vase, on print, and of course fabrics. I made this clutch yesterday. Have a good (Easter) weekend!...

And while hopping from one store to the other, I saw this pretty mirrored jewellery box. Next to this one, I thought this is perfect to storage my collection...

...my latest creation in the style of a duffle bag. Made from dark brown velvet, with small leather pieces to fasten the bag handle and for this I use a suede rope. To closure I made a chain of  7 "medallions". Sequins and beads sewn on reused leather parts...

a while ago I was inspired by the "bohemian look" from this girl outfit and the "baroque appearance" from the cushion, but mostly every thing together is such a treat to look at, the colors, the fabric.
With these images in mind I made this little bag of dark blue velvet.
I made the clossure the same way as my bracelets, but now in 4 different colors of felt.
Maybe I should called them my "medaillons".
The blue ribbon (almost the same color as the fabric) is sewn into the seam, wrapped around and attached with a bow.

Handmade bracelet. I stich the sequins and beads with gold thread on the fabric.
To make this bracelet I use pieces of suede and old (dutch ?) lace, and pieces of a chane for linking them. My mother in law gave me some years ago a lot of lace, she used to have an antique shop. I always thougt it's a pitty to use it, but for my bracelets it's quite useful. Although, I must say I've thought it about it twice to start cutting into a beautiful piece of lace. After all I'm glad with the result, I have no regrets and the colors are very pretty together too.
It's great to see that something that you have in mind, and when it's done, exactly is what you've expect of it. Just loving doing this.
How to use it ? you turn the bracelet twice around your wrist.
