Monday, It's Cold & Grey
Ik heb vrij genomen vanmiddag om mijn werkruimte op te ruimen, sjonge jonge wat kan mens toch allemaal verzamelen! Tussendoor wat boodschappen gedaan en verse bloemen meegenomen, om mezelf wat op te vrolijken op deze grijze en koude maandag.
I took some time off from work this afternoon, did some cleaning at home, especially my work area needed that. In between a run for some errands and fresh flowers, to cheer me up on this grey and cold monday.

Sunday, It's A Beautiful Day
Een kleine break aangezien ik al het hele weekend achter de naaimachine zit. Een goed moment om de rozen die ik gisteren had gekocht in de vaas te zetten. Ondanks dat ik het leuk vind om aan een kleine collectie te werken voor een creatieve markt die wordt gehouden in mei, is het me al de tijd niet ontgaan hoe mooi het toch buiten is. Wederom de bloesems staan in volle bloem en hoe onweerstaanbaar met het prachtige lente zonlicht. Geweldig ! en ik hoef niet zo ver te lopen, want wat moeder natuur ons schenkt is te zien net om de hoek in een park vlakbij mijn appartementen complex. Ik geniet hier zo van !
A little pause, after all the whole weekend was scheduled behind my sewing machine and I need to set my mind on some other things. I bought these roses on Saturday and it's time to put these beauties in a vase. How much I love working on a small collection for an upcoming market in May, I just can't ignore how beautiful it is outside. Again the blossoms are in full bloom nearby the park where my home is and how irresistible the appearance. Just magic in this delightful Spring sunlight. It makes me happy !

Family, The Restaurant
Ik was zondagochtend bij mijn zus en zwager op bezoek en ik wist dat ze in het bezit zijn van nieuwe visitekaartjes met een ander logo. Een eigen ontwerp en verfijnd door mijn andere zwager. Ik vind de kleurkeuze en het ontwerp heel modern en strak, grijsachtig taupe met gouden letters, chique! Omdat we er al lang niet meer zijn geweest hebben wij ze een paar weken geleden weer eens bezocht in hun goedlopend restaurant. Deze keer had ik mijn camera bij me. Frank zwaait zelf de scepter in de keuken en heel ontspannen was hij bezig om de gerechten voor te bereiden. Ik had nog wat foto's gemaakt van het restaurant zelf maar helaas ze zijn mislukt. Wellicht lukt het me de volgende keer. Als je in de buurt bent en je wilt eens lekker eten in Nijmegen, geef me maar een seintje. Ik probeer dan wel een reservering voor je te regelen, want in het weekend kan het heel druk zijn. Wat betreft de rozen, ha…supermarkt rozen van de Albert Heijn en deze staan nu al voor de vierde week!!! in bloei.
On sunday morning I was visiting my sister and her husband. I knew that they printed some new business cards with a different logo. An own design with a lot of help (refinement of the design) by my other brother in law, ha family matters. The color choice and the design is pretty modern and sleek, grayish taupe with gold lettering. I like it, so chic! A few weeks ago we visited them again in their restaurant and I had my camera with me. Good to see Frank so relaxed preparing the dishes in the kitchen. I had some pictures of the restaurant itself but unfortunately these images failed. Oh well…maybe better next time. Anyway if you're in the area of Nijmegen and you would like to visit the restaurant, drop me a line. In the weekends it can be very busy and they regret if they have to say sorry. As for the roses, ha ... supermarket roses and still going strong for the fourth week!!

~The Last Sunday In July~
Now we are slightly accustomed for not being in our own home and this will be at least till the end of October. With this in mind, I just can't ignore the fact that my hands starts to itch. I really do miss my sewing machine, my fabrics, the materials. All I do right now when I'm not at work or running between the hospital and home, or not helping Harrie when he's feeling so bad of the treatments, not cooking or running for some necessary errands……I just pick up my camera and it helps me to mitigate a restless sense (well…so now and then though). Anyway, In the bedroom there's no space for it, so the attic is a good alternative. All I have to do is to make some room, clean it up and of course to ask his mother. This will be the next thing to do in the days ahead.

~In The Last Few Days~
I still enjoying my roses in a pot. In the bedroom the smell of fresh herbs on the windowsill and how it softly mixed with a bit of Chanel. Feathers I found outside my apartment and sprinkle them with a touch of sparkling gold. And I remembered I discovered this for the first time in a beautiful dutch magazine called Naturelle. You can find this in issue nr. 9 november 2013.

~The Garden Rose~
…the white Rose was standing in the meadow for a couple of years now. Last year I moved it to a wall of a little barn. Not blooming abundantly, but nevertheless happily surprised to see "she" gives me some flowers. It seems the move turns out pretty well...
~The End Of The Week~
...and while the temperature is almost reaching the 40 degrees over here, and hopefully my newly bought rose will survive the heat, I will not complain and just make the best out of it. Enjoy the weekend!...

~The Weekend, Something To Indulge Yourself~
...pretty fresh flowers, and I really love that thick rose. I bought three of them and mixed it up with ranunculus and dandelion. For a little luxe so once in a while, I simply can' t resist to buy the Chanel body lotion today, it's such a treat for me...
