Wat later opgestaan op deze grijze ochtend. Het is de 1e zondag in het nieuwe jaar en het begint zoals ik altijd doe op een zondag! Lekker rustig aan, en mijn spullen liggen al klaar om mee te werken. Oh nou oke! de parfum voor deze gelegenheid toegevoegd en omdat ik het oh zo lief vind van mijn vriend dat hij dit voor mij gekocht heeft voor mijn verjaardag in december. Dit krijg ik niet elk jaar hoor! dat hoeft ook niet, want zo blijft het bijzonder.

Op de laatste zaterdagochtend van het jaar. Buiten is het mistig en koud, maar binnen is het wollig en warm!

Superzacht!
En oh zo petite. Ik heb ze gebreid van een zachte wol, het is een mooie mix van Baby Alpaca en Merino Wol. Het zorgt voor extra comfort voor een paar superkleine voetjes!

Het December gevoel
Warm en wollig in huis en zoals vaak in de laatse dagen van december is het mistig, grijs en koud. Let it snow!

The South Of France, Antibes
Beautiful Antibes, the last time it was 2008 and I always find it a pleasure to visit this place. We spend here many years of our vacation and as I already mentioned, it was on a small and friendly camping in Biot and in September. The sphere in Antibes, it's so much more laid back then the more glamorous Cannes. The friendly people, both tourist and locals. We stayed here for a couple of hours because with tempepratures above the 30 degrees it wasn't easy to walk (especially for my boyfriend) and to shoot some images. Oh my...in one hand my iPhone and bag and on my shoulder my camera, pfff! nevertheless I loved every minute of it and so happy to be back. After all these years it was definitely worth the wait!

The South Of France, Cannes
Yes, al lot of wealth, glamour and over the top! but it's nice and relax to walk over the boulevard de la croisette and promenade. Chicque boutiques from famous designer labels, yachts, the Carlton Hotel and front of it priceless cars. Not that I would spend every year in this area but it's a welcome change from every day life.
I shoot a lot of these, because I find it so lovely to see all the beach umbrellas together on the beach waving and protecting when the burning sun is making a full entrance.
The blue metal chairs, everywhere available on the boulevard, invite you to sit and have a break from the walk and of course not to forget to enjoy the view!

Monday, It's Cold & Grey
Ik heb vrij genomen vanmiddag om mijn werkruimte op te ruimen, sjonge jonge wat kan mens toch allemaal verzamelen! Tussendoor wat boodschappen gedaan en verse bloemen meegenomen, om mezelf wat op te vrolijken op deze grijze en koude maandag.
I took some time off from work this afternoon, did some cleaning at home, especially my work area needed that. In between a run for some errands and fresh flowers, to cheer me up on this grey and cold monday.

Lately
De laatste tijd ben ik bezig met tasjes te maken voor de kleine dame en ik vind het ontzettend leuk om hiermee bezig te zijn. Dit is mijn laatste creatie. Een mintgroene rugzakje. Ik bewerkte de stof met een applicatie van gouden balletschoentjes. Wellicht is het een lief tasje voor de kleine ballerina in spe!
Lately I've been busy with making bags for the little lady and I'm enjoying it so much. This is my latest creation. A mint green rucksack with an application of golden ballet shoes. I believe this is a lovely bag for the little ballerina to be!

A Farewell To Summer
On the other hand, it's a comforthing thought to be here on the beach when it's almost deserted, to smell the salty air, a fresh breeze, as well those who like to grab some late August rays of sunshine. My reminiscences this weekend of those last days of Summer. Hello September!

On A Lazy Sunny Friday
Een heerlijk zonnige dag was het en niet te warm. Wandelen, gewoon lekker buiten zijn is de manier om het kantoorstof van me af te schudden. Het is een mooie omgeving, de Ooijpolder bij Nijmegen, en met de auto is het zo'n 20 minuten rijden vanaf waar we wonen. De omgeving is mij niet vreemd maar de aanblik van de dijkhuisjes, het prachtige natuur, het water, het geeft me even een vakantiegevoel. Mijn vakantie begint volgende week donderdag, het is dus aftellen nu en ik kijk er zo naar uit. Hopelijk zet de zomer nog even door en kan ik met mijn vriend meer van deze plekjes in Nederland bezoeken.
It was a bright sunny day and not to warm. A walk, just to be outside is a good opportunity to get rid of the dust from the office. It's a beautiful area, the Ooijpolder by Nijmegen and by car it's about 20 minutes from where we live. I'm quite familiar with the area, but the sight of the houses on the dike, the nature, the water, it brings me in a holiday mood. My vacation starts on the 27th of this month. It's counting down the days and I'm so looking forward to say to my colleagues, au revoir ! see you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully summer stays a little bit longer, so we can visit more of these spots here in the Netherlands.
