                                                           Lately

Lately I've been busy with making bags for the little lady and I'm enjoying it so much. This is my latest creation. A mint green rucksack with an application of golden ballet shoes. I believe this is a lovely bag for the little ballerina to be!

                                      ~Friday, A Few Hours In A'dam~

…as from January, my day off from work (once every two weeks) is on a friday. It's such a relief after 4 full days at the office to have this day for myself, just before the weekend. An today my preference is to spend some hours walking through my favorite city. Never get tired of classical statues and a visit to the flower market should not be missed…

                                          ~City Park, The Valkhof~

...before it's gonna be the type of weather we use to have this time of the year, I decide to take the bus and to have an early walk in the Park. With this particular ruin in mind...

...This remain is part of a palace, built by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in 1155. Inside, the triumphal arch carried by two Roman columns with Karolingsche Zuilen (Carolingian capitals) of marble. Carolingian one indicates a period that started during the reign of Karel De Grote (Charles the Great). It was a period of science and culture in Western Europe. During the reign of the Carolingian there was a growing interest in classical culture. Byzantine influences, culminating in the depiction of the human figure, were fused with the Germanic, largely abstract ornamentation...

...wonderful to see that the columns are still in a good condition. To be honest, I waited until the weather was a little gray and drizzly, so the mystery of the ruin even better appeal to my imagination...

                           ~The Weekend, Bracelets, Gold & Pink~
...and slowly the weekend is almost coming to an end. But it doesn't counts for this Rose, still blooming beautiful. A leftover from last weekend. Something new, I'm busy with a set of bracelets, and this time, no sequins, pearls or beads. Just some decorative ribbons and strings of a chain ball. And there's something to re-use, a golden plate, re-founded in one of my bags and I painted again in gold...
