...as always fresh new tulips at home, and from my youngest sister, again, she brought me last weekend these vintage buttons and decoration rope, pretty little treats makes my day...

...I had some plans to visit Maastricht, but the weather gods had some other ideas. A gray dreary day don't keep me away from a bit of strolling through this city, what keeps me inside is the pouring rain. So, there will be another day and it's not so bad at home. ...on the left, it's actually an apron. The mother of my boyfriend told me it's part of an ancient Dutch costume. On the side it's beautiful embroidered with sequins and little beads. And nowadays sporadically to find and of a good quality, a cloth crafted with gold thread. I found two of them on a flea market, originally coming from a church...Images, by Audrey

~Passion For Collecting~
...Harrie (my boyfriend) called this a "mania". Anyway I used to sell my stuff at flea markets. This takes a lot of time and after a long long day you're really exhausted. Now these days most of my finds are still wrapped in old newspapers, packed in plastic bags and tucked away in a spare room. Every now and then I unwrapped them, to check them out. Just like yesterday and it's the same old story, saying to myself "you have to do something with it", sell it or use it. Hmmm....probably, it all end up in a cupboard, collecting dust...

...whether it's the view on a beautiful lake and a wonderful clear blue September sky, the delicate fresh blooming flowers on the balcony, so good to see them flourish for a second time, or these small copper/tin cups found at a flea market for my beads and sequins, or as a tiny vase for hydrangea leaves. I love it to visualize my thoughts, to share and to memorize it...
