~When It Is Necessary~

Shoes, I'm practically live in hiking boots and low flats these days. I noticed I needed some new ones and these pair are good enough for me. Basic, beige and what I like about these pointed flats is the patent leather and the ribbed edge.

I collect and save a lot. Even can't resist my empty perfume bottles. I got them in my hands while cleaning up and walk to the trash bin to throw it away. No, such a pitty I polish them up and place it back again next to my other collectables.

                                       ~The Weekend - Still Working~

...there's nothing more satisfied then after a long week at work to be in my work space and do the things that I actually would like to do on weekdays, but for now it can only during the evening hours after work and the oh so precious weekends. Today I finished "one single medallion bracelet" and start working on a necklace with felt and lace in pretty pinks...

                                ~In The Mailbox, A Package From Australia~ 

...ever since she post about her drawings on {the lovely blog, The Style Schedule}, I instantly became a fan of her style and I love the use of watercolours  for her drawings. Once, I mention this in a comment and she hasn't forgot this. It's so sweet and thoughtful of her to send me some of her work. Such a lovely surprise, on this Wednesday in September. It really makes me day!! so when I came home (I already heard about it from my boyfriend, he called me up at work, there's a package for you from Australia) I immediately took this images (even before dinner!) because here on this place, and obviously as you see, I just can't wait to show my appreciation for the kindness of a blogfriend. Thank you so much dear Helen, this is a beautiful gift and I already saved a spot on my wall in my little workspace...

...I had some plans to visit Maastricht, but the weather gods had some other ideas. A gray dreary day don't keep me away from a bit of strolling through this city, what keeps me inside is the pouring rain. So, there will be another day and it's not so bad at home. Just rearrange some litle things with fresh flowers, flea market finds and a gifted bracelet..

                                   ~At Home, On my Old Desk~

...when I bought the orchid this morning I thought it had a soft pink heart. A bit disappointed (oh well...all orchids are pretty) and as I arrived at home and put it on my desk at front of the painting, my "mistake" is not so bad at all. Hopefully it will last for more then a couple of days. Orchids are one of my favorite blooms so I have to take more care of it, this time. And after the bloom, I'm doing what my parents used to do, dry the delicate flowers between the sheets of a book...

                                         ~Friday & Skipped From Work~

...that's what I did this morning and oh my... such a good decision. I really have a good sleep, went to the supermarket to do the groceries for the weekend, removed some dust in the house and stay for a while in my workspace. For an early Spring feeling I bought these in glass, blue Hyacinth bulbs. Can't wait to see them in bloom. Also on my desk the rocks I collect and new brass beads. Have a good weekend!...

                      ~December the 16th, A Special Day~

...it's my birthday, and today I'm celebrating the big "five O" very special isn't it!! and that's what my boyfriend has thought as well! he bought me a bag with Chanel products. So very kind and thoughtful of him to do something like this, haven't expect this. Ah, and he choose the products together with the representative from Chanel, who was visiting the Douglas store that day. Needless to say I was a bit speechless, but oh so happy with this special gift...

                                      ~Passion For Collecting~

...Harrie (my boyfriend) called this a "mania". Anyway I used to sell my stuff at flea markets. This takes a lot of time and after a long long day you're really exhausted. Now these days most of my finds are still wrapped in old newspapers, packed in plastic bags and tucked away in a spare room. Every now and then I unwrapped them, to check them out. Just like yesterday and it's the same old story, saying to myself "you have to do something with it", sell it or use it. Hmmm....probably, it all end up in a cupboard, collecting dust...
